CRUDE AWAKENING

” The worlds oil supply is limited. How much is left, and when will it run out?” This is one of the important head lines on the the article CRUDE AWAKENINGby: Emma Davy. This article is very interesting it tells that the US is 4% of the worlds population but uses 25% of the worlds oil. One barrel of oil equals 159 liters and scientists say that only 2.6 trillion barrels are left in the ground. Also, 900 billion barrels are “undiscovered.” The MiniCATis some peoples opinion of the only way out. The O.P.E.C countries are chooseing whether or not to higher or lower their oil prices because of the dramatic drop in iol supply. Is our world going to have to find a new way or suffer a terrible fall?

Turkey

Dear Emily,

In Turkey we have ended World War 1 with our leader Kemal Ataturk but we have givin him a new more important name even though he has changed our culture but he got us through World War 1 so his new name is Mustafa Kemal which means “father of all turks.” But some of the items he ban were fez’s and everyone had to wear western clothes but at the end it was all terrific. When Kemal Ataturk appeared in 1925 dressed in western clothing and a hat with a brim he told all turkish men they must wear this to. But the men felt that not wearing a fez is like giving up your Muslim religion. One Muslim man wore bandages on his head so he didn’t have to wear the hat with the brim. Also, women are not aloud to wear viels to cover thier faces. But, he also gave Turkish women the right to vote. Kemal even made an alphabet based on the Roman one and ordered all sighnes to be printed in that alphabet.

If I could go any where I would go to Italy because my pen-pal is there and I would love to meet her in person. I would have everything planed out we would have so much fun. I would hang out with her all day talk, play games, and go shopping I wonder what their clothes are like. Their is so much to learn and I would be more than ready to learn all about it. What is their food like, do they always eat spaghetti?
